Why do Hackettstown Residents get $50 off Pad Level Registration?
-       The Hackettstown Rec Department subsides the cost of registration by $50 for Hackettstown residents only for Pad Level. To be considered a Hackettstown
Resident, you need to live inside the town boundary and pay property taxes in Hackettstown. Having a Hackettstown mailing address does not count as being a
Hackettstown resident.

Are there any discounts for having multiple kids in the program?
-
Yes, each additional child will receive $20 off their registration.

What is a Work Bond and why do I have to pay it?
-       TFC is a 100% volunteer program and is only successful if we have enough volunteers. We require each pad level family to volunteer 4 hours during the season. The families that Volunteer the 4 hours will get their Work Bond check returned to them at the end of the season. For more information, please clink on the Volunteer Tab on our homepage.

Is there a weight limit to play Pad Level?
-
Pad Level: No, our league no longer has a max weight limit, so players of all sizes are able to play at their grade level. Our league does have weight
restrictions to playcertain positions so a player may be restricted to what position on the field they can play based on their size.

Is there a mandatory playing time for each player?
- This is a rec sport and all players that attend practices will get plenty of playing time in game. That being said, poor practice attendance will effect playing time. Our coaches can also limit playing time for other disciplinary reasons.

What if I have an issue with my player’s coach?
- We are all adults and we hope any conflict between a coach and parent can be worked out in a private conversation. We ask for a 24hour cooling off period so that the conversation can be more productive. If after speaking with your player’s coach if you do not feel the issue has been resolved, you are welcome to reach out to the coaches’ Coordinator or the program Director and we would be happy to address your concerns.

Can I volunteer to Coach?
-       ABSOLUTELY!! We need as many coaches as possible to help make each season a success. All parents interested in coaching must take a 1 time R.U.T.G.E.R.S safety class and do a background check. If they have already coach other Hackettstown rec sports then there is no need for another background check.
